Bridge the gap between quiet reading and hands-on kinesthetic learning with the ultimate open-face mobile storage hub.
As modern libraries evolve into active, movement-based learning labs, educators need furniture that can keep up. The 48-inch Agile Library & Maker Cart is a double-column storage solution that offers the best of both worlds: heavy-duty adjustable shelving for library books and reference materials, alongside a column of transparent slide-out totes for sorting technology, tactile manipulatives, and ABL Lab supplies.
Its open-face design ensures that students have frictionless access to the tools they need to stay focused and engaged. Built on smooth-gliding casters, this cart can be rolled directly to student workstations, while the magnetic, dry-erase back panel invites kids to stand, move, and brainstorm together right at the cart.

Features & Uses
Features & Specifications
HYBRID LAYOUT: An open-face, double-column design that pairs deep, adjustable shelving on one side with a stack of 3-inch clear slide-out totes on the other.
DRY-ERASE BACK PANEL: The reverse side features a magnetic, dry-erase laminate surface, transforming the back of the storage cart into a functional, standing-height whiteboard.
DURABLE: Built for busy spaces with a heavy-duty 14-gauge powder-coated steel frame and 3/4”-thick thermal-fused laminate (TFL) particleboard. 2mm PVC edge banding protects the cart from the daily bumps and bruises of high-traffic kinesthetic environments.
WHEELS FOR PORTABILITY: Equipped with five heavy-duty 3-inch, 360-degree swivel casters (two locking, three non-locking) for ultimate stability and frictionless rolling.
CABLE MANAGEMENT: Built-in grommet holes at the base allow for clean, easy cable routing if housing charging devices on the top or shelves.
DIMENSIONS:
30" W x 19.75" D x 48" H
Shelf weight capacity: 45 lbs
Overall weight capacity: 290 lbs
Educational Uses
ABL SUPPORT: Perfectly categorizes kinesthetic tools—keep heavy media and books on the shelves while utilizing the totes for sensory items, robotics parts, and tactile manipulatives.
FRICTIONLESS: The doorless, open-face design allows students to seamlessly grab a tote or book and immediately return to their task without bottlenecking the classroom flow.
COLLABORATION HUB: The durable laminate top acts as the perfect standing-height workstation for students to collaborate on tactile projects or operate laptops.
KINESTHETIC BRAINSTORMING: Educators can pull this cart into the center of the room so students can step away from their desks and use the whiteboard back to visually map out ideas on their feet.
About Active Classroom Furniture
Our classroom furniture is built to promote Low Intensity Steady State (LISS) movement. This level of activity optimizes blood flow and oxygen delivery to the brain and activates BDNF, which stimulates the growth of new brain cells without causing exhaustion.
- Boosts Focus & Mood
- Provides a healthy, silent outlet for fidgeting and restlessness.
- Improves overall academic performance
Backed by Brain Science.
ABL active learning and sensory equipment provides a non-distracting, silent way to allow children to move, fidget, wake their brains up and stay engaged and focused in the classroom.
This makes it easy for schools to accommodate all learners and keep the focus on serving the needs of the whole child. Action Based Learning aligns with the CDC framework for addressing health in schools, The Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child, or WSCC model. To learn more about the science behind movement and learning educational furniture, check out Action Based Learning Training Academy
