A recent feature on WCBD News 2 highlighted Cario Middle School's innovative approach to education: the kinesthetic classroom. Thanks to a grant, teacher Tracy Party McGuire transformed her learning environment to incorporate movement directly into the curriculum. As the only middle-school program of its kind in the area, the classroom keeps students physically active while they learn, which helps prevent fatigue and promotes overall wellness. The school is already seeing positive improvements from this active learning model and hopes to expand these kinesthetic components into more classrooms in the future.
